On August 8, 2016, BLACKPINK made their debut album Square One, which contained the songs “Boombayah” and “Whistle.” The single reached number one on the Billboard World Digital Songs chart, making BLACKPINK the fastest act to ever do so, and only the third Korean artists to reach the accolade. PSY and Big Bang were the other two Korean artists to hit number one.
